Quonset Point Air Museum

While my son was visiting this summer we took a ride over to the Quonset Air Museum
It’s a little rough around the edges, but has a great collection, including an F-14 Tomcat, a Douglas A-4M Skyhawk, and a McDonnell-Douglas F-4A Phantom II. If you love military aircraft, this is a great way to spend a few hours.

Flew into Scott AFB yesterday to visit Mom in Belleville, IL. It was a military hop from Mcguire on a KC-10 where we refueled a flight of five F/A-18s from NAS Oceana. The flight is for the Scott Airshow this w/e at which the a/c joins C-5A, B-2, C-17 and vintage aircraft. I get to return home on Tuesday with my former hosts. Great pix of the refueling as I sat next to the fueling engineer.
