Adrift

The Research Vessel Roger Revelle was operating in the Indian Ocean (Lat: 32 18.009S Long: 091 07.543E) when she came upon this abandoned sailboat. The owner, a 72-year-old man, was attempting a circumnavigation from New Zealand, and had nearly completed the journey when he went over the side. You can talk all you want about “dying while doing what he loved,” but I’ll bet you a million dollars that the last thing he wanted to do was watch his boat sailing away.
